The problem that inspired CAPVERIANT
Public finance margins decreased significantly while macro demand for digitalization in EU governance agencies rose.
Solution
A digital customer journey that starts with a german and french town treasuer creating a tender for a loan. The journey is designed to manage the tender steps on the capveriant platform for both sides, borrower and creditor. The journey ends with the offer selection and a fully digital documentation of the entire process.

My role and impact
I started as IT engineering manager, but got soon promoted to CTO being responsible for IT software and hardware infrastructure and product development. In an otherwise traditionally conservative corporate context I managed to implement the first cloud only run app in german regulated finance in 2017. In this context the project became a reference case for Microsoft and i presented this on various occasions like e.g. the Microsoft Impulse Event.

I put together a small but effective fullstack team of 5 internal and a network of external senior developers delivering a ratio of 80% change and 20% run output per sprint. Caisse des Dépôts conducted a careful tecnical due dilligence prior to the purchase of 28,5% in January, 2021. The result of the tecnical audit by the contracted 3rd party IT audit company was a huge success and conducive to the deal agreement. The evaluation in one sentence:
“We must emphasize that the maturity level for development quality, the applied processes and the ISO certificaltion are quite rare for such a recent company”

For three consecutive years the IT governance, processes, data privacy and security has been audited on a yearly basis by two third party auditors. As the result of the IT security and data privacy audit the TÜV seal has been given and an audit summary can be downloaded here.
What is going on
The company is fighting to gain market share in the german and french public finance market. In the quest of delivering customer value in my role as CTO, I am investigating tecnical possibilities and partnerships in traditional finance and finance 2.0 to provide relevant financial products and services to the public finance realm.
